Fire! Deserts! Plastic Powered Outreach!
Our Beetle machines were borne out of fire, creating off-grid energy deep in the heart of South Africa’s largest desert in collaboration with Burning Man. Our original plastic-powered educational outreach stage has thrilled thousands of people while using music and theater to drive education about environmental solutions, creating hope that humanity can be better – and more sustainable.
Originally housed in an earth-shaped sphere and pushed by a giant recycled stainless steel sculpture of an African dung beetle firing fearsome flames out of it’s rear end into the night sky, it has evolved into our new commercial Beetle that is ready to roll out onto the frontlines of the global battle against plastic pollution.
